Data Centres and Network
OUR DATA CENTRES
We own and operate three Tier 3 data centres providing over 30,000 ft² of space located in Reading, Berkshire, UK. In addition, we have secure data centre capacity in Hong Kong and the United States (New York). DediPower's global presence enables us to offer a unique array of services and resilience to our customers.
OUR NETWORK
We operate our own autonomous network systems based in: Reading and London, UK; Hong Kong, China; and New York, North America. It's designed with multiple connections entering our data centre facilities at different locations for greater reliability and additional backup connection to a disaster recovery site. Our network has been designed to provide you with confidence and is delivered over different fibre networks to several Tier 1 ISPs. Operating full BGP4+ for network reachability to enable us to efficiently load balance our traffic and also provide complete redundancy, if one of the connections fails, all traffic will automatically be routed down an alternative connection within seconds.
We have carefully chosen four major providers for connectivity into the data centres: Tinet, specialising in European telecommunications, Level3 with over 20,000 miles of fibre in the USA and Europe, NTT with excellent connectivity in Asia, and CPCNet a leading provider in Hong Kong and China. We also maintain our own direct peering with hundreds of ISPs in London (Linx/Lonap) and Hong Kong (HKIX) including BT, NTL/Virgin, Nildram, Pipex, Janet, BBC and many others providing a fast, direct route for a large proportion of our traffic.
Through being carrier independent, we are able to leverage each of the respective providers’ strengths and service level offering, enabling us to achieve high levels of resilience and performance.
